Through joint efforts, TONX partnered with the TON Foundation to co-host the first global “TON Hacker House” event in Hong Kong today (4). Twenty teams from different tracks gathered together to compete for a huge prize pool of up to $1.5 million.
The first keynote speech of the event was hosted by Dr. Awesome Doge, co-founder of TONX, who shared his journey since participating in TON testnet development with the topic “The Future of the TON Blockchain and its Role in the Telegram Ecosystem,” providing attendees with unique insights into the future development of the TON ecosystem.
During the mid-event break, Dr. Awesome Doge announced the launch of TONX’s early membership card “TONX ID” and the formal establishment of the $5 million TONX ecosystem fund, demonstrating TONX’s strong confidence and long-term commitment to the future development of the TON project.
In addition, the event also invited heavyweight guests such as Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, Steve Yun, President of the TON Foundation, and Allen Ng, CEO of Everest Ventures Group (EVG), a well-known Web3 venture capital group in Hong Kong, to participate in a roundtable forum titled “Web3 Super App in Asia-Opportunities in Asia.” Various Web3 giants discussed and exchanged views on Asia Web3 super applications. Following that, CEO David Mak of Catizen shared his insights on building high-traffic Mini-Games.
In the latter part of the event, Mark Okham, CEO and co-founder of XTON, introduced participants to how to seize opportunities for early-stage potential projects in the TON ecosystem using Launchpad, providing valuable experiences for both project parties and investors.
Finally, under the witness of judges such as Dr. Awesome Doge, co-founder of TONX, Pei, co-founder of TonFura, and Narek Abovyan, leader of TonTech, the Hacker House reached its climax. The champion team “XPLUS” for the 2024 TON Hacker House was born. “XPLUS” is dedicated to building a game platform on the TON chain, gamifying transactions in an innovative and fun way, highly favored by the judging panel!
