TON Foundation, together with its strategic partner TONX, held the inaugural global “TON Hacker House” event in Hong Kong today (April 4th). The event attracted 20 development teams to participate in demo showcases and invited heavyweight guests from the Web3 industry to discuss the future development of the TON ecosystem. The event concluded successfully, and congratulations to the champion team “XPLUS”!

As a top strategic partner in the TON public chain ecosystem, TONX has been closely collaborating with the TON Foundation since 2021. Through joint efforts, TONX and the TON Foundation co-hosted the world’s first “TON Hacker House” event in Hong Kong today. Twenty teams from different tracks gathered together to compete for the huge prize pool of 1.5 million US dollars.
The first speech of the event was hosted by Dr. Awesome Doge, co-founder of TONX. He shared his journey since participating in the development of the TON testnet and provided unique insights into the future development of the TON ecosystem under the theme “The Future of the TON Blockchain and its Role in the Telegram Ecosystem”.
During the mid-event break, Dr. Awesome Doge announced two major news. Firstly, the launch of TONX’s early membership card “TONX ID”, and the official establishment of the 5 million US dollar TONX ecological fund, demonstrating TONX’s strong confidence and long-term commitment to the future development of the TON project.
In addition, the event invited heavyweight guests such as Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, Steve Yun, President of the TON Foundation, and Allen Ng, CEO of Everest Ventures Group (EVG), a famous Web3 venture capital group in Hong Kong, to participate in the roundtable forum titled “Web3 Super App in Asia-Opportunities in Asia”. During the forum, the Web3 giants conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on Asia’s Web3 super applications. Subsequently, David Mak, CEO of Catizen, shared his insights on building high-traffic mini-games.
In the latter part of the event, Mark Okham, CEO and co-founder of XTON, introduced to the participants how to seize the early potential projects in the TON ecosystem using Launchpad, providing valuable experience for both project parties and investors.
Finally, under the witness of the judges including Dr. Awesome Doge, co-founder of TONX, Pei, co-founder of TonFura, and Gleb V, leader of MiniApp, the Hacker House reached its climax. The champion team “XPLUS” of the 2024 TON Hacker House was born. “XPLUS” is committed to building a game platform on the TON chain, gamifying transactions in innovative and interesting ways, and was favored by the judging panel.
While congratulating the champion team “XPLUS”, we also look forward to all participating teams becoming important forces driving the development of the TON ecosystem. Let us look forward to the next Hacker House event together!
