Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya, the anonymous primary developers of Shiba Inu, recently gave an interview to Arabian Business, revealing some unknown details about their past lives. It was revealed that Kusama can speak six languages and used to work as an Uber driver in Los Angeles. He has had various jobs in music, photography, and as a barista. On the other hand, Dhairya, considered a technical genius, has also worked as a delivery driver in New York.
When reminiscing about how Kusama entered the tech industry, he mentioned an encounter he had while working as an Uber driver. He happened to pick up a seemingly wealthy individual and curiosity drove him to ask about the person’s occupation. The wealthy passenger replied, “If you want everything I have, enter the tech industry.” Inspired by this encounter, Kusama decided to pursue a career in the tech field. In the cryptocurrency space, he initially developed an interest in trading and went through two cycles over a span of seven years.
Later on, Kusama joined the Shiba Inu chat room, which had only 6,000 members at the time, and invested $3,000 in the Shiba Inu meme coin. During this period, he also read the first article written by Shiba Inu founder Ryoshi, which discussed the concept of decentralization. Kusama met Ryoshi in the chat room and shared his ideas about SHIB, receiving immediate approval from Ryoshi.
However, Kusama realized that he needed more support and that’s when he met Dhairya in the chat room. He convinced Dhairya to quit his job and offered him a year’s salary, which marked the beginning of their close collaboration. Kusama said:
Dhairya responded in the interview:
Despite Shiba Inu (SHIB) currently being the 13th largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, its primary developers Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya have no intention of revealing their anonymous identities. Additionally, the two plan to hand over control of the project to the community by the end of this year. Kusama stated in the interview:
The first interview also revealed the mysterious side behind SHIB, with the main developers believing that it is unnecessary to disclose their identities and preferring to remain anonymous. They consider this anonymity to be priceless. Kusama admitted:
