Have you ever thought about deploying and minting tokens on Twitter? Recently, a social token called “twitscription” has emerged, allowing users to deploy and mint their own XRC20 tokens on Twitter without any cost.
(X) OKT Chain grabs the token! The first XRC20 token OKTS is online, and OKT has surged nearly 100%.

Conclusion
With the explosion of tokens at the end of 2023, major public chains have also deployed their own tokens. Recently, a new project has emerged in the community: twitscription, a platform where everyone can deploy tokens.
The interesting aspect of this project is the free minting of XRC20 tokens. Users only need to link their wallets on Twitter and publish tweets to deploy and mint their own XRC20 tokens.
XRC20 mint tutorial:
Currently, many users have deployed a large number of tokens, such as “X, musk, SOL”, and there are also many participants in the minting process, which is relatively simple.

Users need to follow their official account, enter the official app, click on “Deploy,” and the official account will automatically generate the content of the tweet. The JAVA code format for deploying XRC20 is as follows: tick represents the name of the token you want to mint, max represents the maximum supply, and lim represents the quantity of tokens to be minted.
{ “p”: “#XRC20”, “op”: “deploy”, “tick”: “”, “max”: “21000000”, “lim”: “1000” }

After that, you can forge your new token by publishing a tweet with the word “mint.”

All token holders need to do to transfer their tokens is to publish a tweet in Java format with the word “transfer” on Twitter. The project’s official social media has also proposed a bridging idea to Base chain.

Thoughts on twitscription:
While tokens are constantly emerging on major chains, they are all based on traditional token strategies. Twitscription may bring new gameplay to the token race, similar to the social protocol friend.tech, which combines Twitter and wallets.
Advantages of twitscription:
Compared to various tokens that have appeared before, twitscription’s gameplay is extremely user-friendly. It uses Java format, and minting can be done by posting tweets. Users can also deploy their own tokens, unlike other token minting processes that require a significant amount of time and effort.
Another highlight of twitscription is the free minting, which does not require setting up a wallet in advance or adding funds. Compared to other token projects, twitscription effectively avoids the situation of developers monopolizing a large number of tokens.
Disadvantages of twitscription:
However, twitscription relies more on X (Twitter) compared to other tokens on different chains, making your token more susceptible to the influence of Twitter (e.g., Musk).
Although the project has proposed the idea of bridging to Base chain, it has not been realized yet. While the twitscription app has the functionality to connect wallets, it seems that it does not need to be done on the chain, and transfers can be made simply by tweeting. In the future, if integration with Base is achieved, the Base token indexer must support twitscription and monitor both Twitter and Base to mint and deploy tokens.
According to the project’s official social media, there are already over 100,000 tokens indexed in twitscription. In addition, it is not possible to view the minting process of tokens after posting, and the minting speed is not very fast. The author posted a minting tweet 1 hour ago but has not yet seen their XRC20 token.
Conclusion:
Currently, twitscription is not perfect and may not go very far. However, this idea brings innovation to the token race, such as a simple UI interface and operation, democratization of token deployment, and free minting. The twitscription app indicates that an XRC20 market will be launched soon, where transfers and transactions can be made.
If this project can be integrated into a specific chain or application in the future, such as Base, and given market value and liquidity, some tokens may become practical tokens on Twitter, such as tipping tokens for rewarding tweet authors.
