Solana, a public blockchain, announced the opening of pre-orders for the second generation of its blockchain phone, Saga. The market’s evaluation of Solana has been volatile since the release of the first Saga phone last year. Initially, the phone had poor sales due to its hardware specifications not matching the price. However, the phone gained popularity after collaborating with multiple Solana ecosystem projects, as buyers received free airdropped tokens. As a result, all inventory was quickly sold out. Today, Solana officially announced the pre-order availability for Saga’s second generation.
The specific features and specifications of the Saga sequel have not been revealed by the company yet. According to the official website, the pre-order price for the second generation is $450, cheaper than the discounted price of $599 for the first generation. Additionally, the company has limited the purchase quantity to one unit per person and five units per household address.
Regarding the Saga Genesis Token certificates, which are of utmost concern to all users, the company has promised to continue distributing them with the purchase of the new phone in the next generation. This ensures that all buyers will receive rewards and airdrops from the Solana ecosystem. It is worth noting that the company estimates the product will be shipped in the first half of 2025, although this date is subject to change.
Despite the long wait for pre-order fulfillment, which may take more than a year, the cryptocurrency community remains unconcerned. This is because buyers are required to provide their Solana wallet address during the ordering process, allowing the company the possibility of distributing airdrops at any time this year.
Interestingly, users can earn points through referral codes during the purchasing process. When other users pre-order Chapter 2 using their referral links, the user can achieve a higher position on the leaderboard and potentially receive more rewards from the Solana ecosystem.
