According to Twitter user Kgjr’s warning, Orbit Bridge was attacked by hackers, who transferred a large amount of stolen funds. The total value of the tokens is approximately 81.5 million US dollars, divided into five transactions, all of which were abnormally transferred to new wallets.
These transactions include 30 million USDT, 10 million DAI, 10 million USDC, 231 wBTC, and 9,500 ETH. Chain security observation network stated that the attacker first transferred 10 ETH from Tornado Cash as the cost of the attack. The hacker’s intentions and methods are still being confirmed.
As the Orbit Bridge is commonly used to wrap tokens and transfer them to the Klaytn network, including assets such as OETH and OBNB, the KLY token experienced a sharp drop of around 10% followed by a rebound in a short period of time.
