Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex has experienced a massive data leak of up to 2.5 TB, involving the personal information and account passwords of 400,000 users. Bitfinex has not yet provided an explanation, but Paolo Ardoino, CEO of affiliated company Tether, has posted on X stating that the data leak may be fake news. As a precaution, it is recommended to change your password for security purposes.

According to Crypto Marco’s report, tonight (4th), Bitfinex, a cryptocurrency exchange, has experienced a data leak of up to 2.5 TB, involving the personal information and account passwords of 400,000 users. White hat hackers have already obtained personal information and personally attempted to log into different user accounts. They have warned all users to change their passwords for safety reasons.
