What is ZKsync?
ZKsync is an Ethereum Layer2 scaling solution that focuses on improving transaction processing speed and reducing transaction costs. Additionally, ZKsync uses a technology called “Zero-Knowledge Proofs” to achieve this goal. This technology allows users to prove they possess certain information without revealing the information itself. This way, ZKsync can ensure the validity and security of transactions without disclosing all transaction details.
By bundling multiple transactions together and processing them on Layer 2, ZKsync significantly reduces the burden on the main network, speeding up transactions and lowering costs. Users ultimately submit transaction results to the Ethereum mainnet to ensure security and finality.
Binance ZK Token Distribution Plan
On the other hand, seemingly to appease users’ anger, Binance plans to distribute 10,500,000 ZK tokens to a maximum of 52,500 eligible Binance users from June 17, 2024, 10:00, to July 17, 2024, 7:59, who meet the following conditions:
Users initiated at least 50 transactions through ZKSync Era as the “sender” address from February 2023 to March 2024 (a total of 14 months).
Transactions were made in seven different months (from February 2023 to March 2024), excluding self-transfers.
The claiming address does not meet the eligibility criteria for the official ZK Nation airdrop plan.
The claiming address is not a contract/CEX/bridge address.
How to claim tokens:
Eligible users must deposit at least 0.02 ETH from the whitelist address of the ZKSync ERA network to Binance. (Note: The amount of ETH deposited by users does not affect the amount of ZK tokens distributed).
Only ETH deposited directly from the ZKsync active user whitelist is considered valid. Binance will also use these addresses as a reference for distribution.
Binance will use the ZKsync active user whitelist as a reference for distribution. ZK tokens will be distributed to users who meet all the above conditions on a first-come, first-served basis.
Binance will distribute 200 ZK tokens to each Binance user ID (UID). Additionally, if a user deposits 0.02 ETH from multiple addresses to the same UID, they can only claim ZK tokens once from the token distribution plan. Binance will only distribute 200 ZK tokens to their UID.
