Binance launched an innovative prediction platform called Futures NEXT on the 7th, allowing users to predict which tokens will be listed on its U Futures contract. Users who make correct predictions will be rewarded with trading experience funds and fee rebate coupons. Within less than a day, the platform attracted 2,671 users who invested 169,175 USDT.
To participate in the platform, users need to purchase picks at a price of 1 USDT each. These picks are then used in the NEXT Pool to select tokens that users believe will be listed. However, there are limitations on participation. Each user can only pick a maximum of 3 tokens, with a maximum of 100 picks per token.
If there are no desired tokens in the NEXT Pool, users can nominate new tokens by using 2,000 USDT. Once approved by Binance, these 2,000 USDT will be converted into 2,000 picks for the nominated token. If the nomination is not approved, Binance will fully refund the 2,000 USDT.
It is important to note that both picking and nominating tokens come with a “lock-up period.” After picking, if Binance does not list the token, users can redeem their picks after a 3-day lock-up period. Picks will be converted back to USDT and credited to the contract account. Similarly, if users regret their picks, they can redeem all or part of them for USDT after a 3-day lock-up period. Picks generated through nominations are also subject to a 30-day lock-up period. If Binance does not list the token after the lock-up period ends, picks can be redeemed for USDT.
Although some community members initially thought that Futures NEXT was a new way for tokens to be listed on Binance, Binance emphasizes that the operation of Futures NEXT is completely independent of Binance’s token listing process. The main goal of Futures NEXT is to reward users who accurately predict market trends, rather than directly influencing which tokens can be listed.
Binance follows a rigorous and fair token listing review process to ensure that each token, regardless of its performance or popularity on Futures NEXT, is evaluated based on unified criteria.
