TWEX Exchange to Go Live on May 22
According to the announcement, Fusheng Digital plans to hold a press conference in Taipei on May 22, the launch date, where Taiwan Mobile’s General Manager Lin Zhi-Chen and Fusheng Digital’s General Manager Han Kun-Ju will be present. Industry leaders, regulatory representatives, and media will be invited to witness this historic moment together.
The conference is expected to provide detailed information about TWEX’s trading features, user interface, and integrations with telecommunications services, while also discussing important topics such as industry development, regulatory processes, and consumer protection.
Fusheng Digital Has Obtained Regulatory Approval
Founded in 1997, Taiwan Mobile is the second-largest telecommunications operator in Taiwan, providing services such as mobile communication, broadband internet, and fixed-line telephony, with over ten million users and extensive 4G/5G network coverage.
Fusheng Digital is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiwan Mobile, focusing on virtual asset and fintech businesses. Lin Zhi-Chen serves as the Chairman, while Han Kun-Ju is the General Manager. Its business scope includes cryptocurrency trading, digital asset management, and blockchain applications, aiming to build a complete Web3 ecosystem.
Fusheng Digital completed the “Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Declaration” with the Financial Supervisory Commission on July 5, 2024, officially becoming one of Taiwan’s 26 Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP).
Significance of TWEX’s Launch
Regulations on virtual assets in Taiwan have become increasingly stringent, with several platforms recently announcing their exit from the market.
The “Taiwan Big Virtual Asset Exchange” is not only an important step for Taiwan Mobile to embrace Web3, but how TWEX will leverage Taiwan Mobile’s vast user base and brand influence to attract more ordinary citizens to participate in digital asset trading is also a key point of interest.
