The Sandbox, a metaverse game, is collaborating with Dynamic Zone to host the first-ever Game Jam. The registration for the Game Jam is open to all individuals interested in game development, regardless of age, from April 8th to April 19th.
Winners will receive rewards ranging from generous cash prizes to global exposure. The first-ever Taiwan Game Jam by The Sandbox will take place on May 25th and 26th, where participating teams will design a game on-site based on a given theme. The winning team will have the opportunity to publish their creation on The Sandbox platform. This two-day event will bring together game creators from around the world to showcase their talents in the metaverse.
In addition, the winning team will have the chance to exhibit their work at the Asia Blockchain Summit in August, gaining the attention of thousands of attendees. Furthermore, outstanding teams may receive incubation and investment opportunities provided by TempoX. The winning teams will also receive promotion and exposure through The Sandbox and BlockTempo’s community platforms, as well as other media and PR platforms.
Registration for the Game Jam is free and open to anyone interested in game development from April 8th to April 19th. Participants can choose to participate individually or form teams of up to four members. The only requirement is that participants must attend the two-day Game Jam held in Taipei. This is an opportunity for all game enthusiasts, regardless of their level of game development experience, to showcase their creativity as long as they have a passion for it.
Participants will have the chance to win a prize pool of 30,000 $SAND and land, and their creations may be showcased on The Sandbox map and offline events. The rewards for the top placements are as follows: 1st place – 7,000 $SAND + 1×1 LAND, 2nd place – 4,000 $SAND – 1×1 LAND, 3rd place – 2,000 $SAND – 1×1 LAND, and 4th to 10th place – 1,000 $SAND each. Additionally, the first 25 creators to self-publish their Game Jam experiences will receive a reward of 400 $SAND. An AMA (Ask Me Anything) session for Game Jam introduction will be held on April 19th, where participating teams can learn more about the competition details and the designated game genre. The full theme will be revealed to all participating teams on the day of the competition.
